Sometimes I forget how much I love Jethro Tull.
Then I happen across this:

Now I'm on a hunt for more Tull vids:
face-melting guitar solo? of course
but face-melting flute solo? c'mon!
Your sperm's in the gutter, yer love's in the si-i-ink )

I was raised on the Tull. My parents are fanatics. They saw them a bunch in the '70s and the "Thick As A Brick" LP played fairly constantly in my house when I was little. The first CD my family ever got, before we even had a CD player, was the "Living In The Past" collection. Came in a "long box" if you remember them...this post brought back some memories...

yup, that Living in the Past collection was my first Tull album.
Man, I haven't thought about those long boxes in years, what an absolute waste of packaging! But I guess they were trying to get more "real estate" to respond to peoples tastes in favor of big lp covers.

Awesomeness. I haven't listened to them in a while (will fix that immediately), but "Bourée" gets stuck in my head a lot.

My stepfather shares a fashion aesthetic with nowaday-Anderson.
