Yes Meghan, people do, and are SUPPOSED to change over time.

Despite what you may think about me, the fact is, you DON'T know me. You don't talk to me, you don't see me. I'm not the same fucking 9th or 10th grader that you may remember me as. And I'm not sorry to dissapoint you, I'm quite pleased with who I am as a person. Pleased with my morals and my sense of self and the direction I'm going. I've never had a lack of self confidance.
So honestly, I don't care if you thought I would ever do something like this.

I've had no reason to impress you for a long time now.
