Haha.. I was at Stop & Shop earlier and they had Lysol wipes to clean the handles on the shopping carts. Paranoid much?

Ha, i'm not surprised, I think 95% of the reason they closed down schools wasn't because they were afraid of an outbreak, but because parents all over Warwick went apeshit when that one kid died.

I had meningitis when I was an infant... almost killed me.

oh geez, thank god you beat it. After I posted this I read a story about a college girl who was 21 who died last week from it, and they're retracing all her steps over the xmas break and making people get shots and antibiotics. It IS pretty scary.

8 possible cases now.
My friends keep asking me if I've gotten antibiotics or anything, but I have to remind them that just because I live two blocks from the school, it doesn't mean I come into contact with anyone who might have it...

Yeah I feel horrible for that kid and his family. I remember when a kid died at my elementry school and it was traumatizing even if you didn't know him.

Gah! I teach in Coventry... talk about serious paranoia on my part! Every little headache twang I get, I keep thinking it's meningitis.

15 of my students have gotten pneumonia so far... maybe I should be more worried about that!
