Went and saw The Happening this morning. Best I can figure, what happened is I lost $8.50 and 1 hour and 45 minutes of my life (with trailers that were equally shit). Bleh.
I wanted to like it because I'm such a huge fan. I live outside of Philly and he always films here which is cool. A friend of my mom's owns the land that the Village was shot on. So anyway...The Happening wasn't happening. It was terrible.
I've gone to every one of his movies on opening night to be supportive and this was just AHHH!! The highlight of the movie for me... That I take the train that they used in the movie to get to Philly for work everyday. I just wish I had been on it with Marky Mark!
Since I work downtown I did get to see some of the filming last summer which was cool... Unfortunately, the final product sucked. And I'm pretty easy going because I'm one of the freaks that actually liked The Village and Lady in the Water so I'm a real fan and I thought this movie was super bad!!!!
