I hear you on that wistfulness. Yeah, having family around would be nice from time to time, but god, that sort of closeness is also so. damned. claustrophobic. And fuck, but the idea of NOT EVER moving is just...anathema. *shudders*

I'll take the transient American life over that any day. And dude--we choose our own "families" in this lifestyle, we make our own caravans.
