for the past two days i have been sleeping, eating, and reading 1776. alskdhjfklasjfh why am i only half-way through???
oh yeah, it's cause i read like this:
"I have a letter, sir, from Lord Howe to Mr. Washington," Lieutenant Brown began. "Sir," replied Reed, "we have no person in our army with that address." When Brown asked by what title Mr. Washington chose to be addressed, Reed replied, "You are sensible, sir, of the rank of General Washington in our army." haha, that's right, you best R.E.S.P.E.C.T. there are so many levels of titles in an army, i have no idea what they mean! general major private captain lieutenant comptess. wait. comptess is not an army title. where did comptess come from? oh yeah that's what drew barrymore was pretending to be in Ever After!! it sounds like countess, except it's not. the movie was set in france... "compter" is "to count" in french so dude, that makes sense that comptess is the french version of countess. aw i love that move so much. awww. they put leonardo da vinci in that movie. he flew kites! and he wore funny hats. and boat feet.
at this point i realize that i haven't been reading a word for the past 5 minutes. something like this happens every other page. but onward! it really is ok, i guess, for a history book.
this icon reminds me that my little sister is at the pet store this very moment, buying a new hampster. she's going to be a veterinarian when she grows up! mom says. it's important to feed her passion! i hope she doesn't put it in the same box as her hermit crabs so they can "play"
i love my little sister so much.
i am so worried about her.
i talked with my mom for four hours on saturday night. it was really, really nice.
the last day of summer? haha. What? i don't know, i'm kind of excited for school to start. i hope. :)
i love it when words fit in more than one way
what a wonderful
caricature of
intimacy
though not necessarily for what they say
