Well...just as Tino is about to get a job with the police department (he is first on the list and two officers just retired), he finds out during some weekend Marine training thing that he has to leave to either Africa (djibouti) or Iraq. He doesn't want to go near Iraq, so he chose Djibouti. He leaves sometime in June for "at least 7 months."

i don't mean this in a bitchy way, but why did he enlist if he wanted to do something else? did he get in trouble or something? plus, isn't his 4 years up really soon anyway? i thought he joined right out of high school.
