I've haven't been this excited since AdultSwim.com started streaming toons on Friday nights. Anyone who hasn't seen an Arcade Fire video should check them out right fucking now! I'm so excited that I found a Canadian band that I really dig.

Heh. I had a book full of newspaper screwups and yogi-berra like quotes when I was a teen that I loved. A couple I remember:

Newspaper Headline: Iraqi Head Seeks Arms.
Nespaper Headline: Nixon Can't Stand Pat
"Last year, 30,000 people were killed in traffic accidents alone in the US. Let's resolve to do better."
"We're gonna turn this team around, 360 degrees" - some basketball player.

You like the Arcade Fire, eh? Yeah, they're not bad. I know Death from Above 1979 is a popular band, a bit heavier, but in the same genre. Do you like Billy Talent? Some of their stuff is pretty good too. (Their name is a reference to a famous band novel in Canada, Hard Core Logo)

"Last year, 30,000 people were killed in traffic accidents alone in the US. Let's resolve to do better." --- I would've framed this one.

I never heard Death from above 1979. Plan on checking some of their stuff out today. I'm not really into Billy Talent, but my step-son digs 'em and went to one of their shows in Edmonton or Toon town last summer.

Thanks for the poem praise. It's funny because when I tried to record it the first 2 TIMES the dogs were going nuts in the background barking. I was screaming "SHUT UP, SHuT UP." I should have left it in there and ocntinued reading LOL.

That's funny. My cat meows constantly, so I locked her out of the bedroom when recording Mall Thing. Then she scratched at the door so much I had to let her in. You should totally have left the dogs in and then sent it to Pat as 'bloopers'.
