I bet you could have found an even more affordable place in Vernalis . . .

Much luck in this new endeavor. I bet you can find lots of books on tape to listen to in your new SUV.

Sorry for the scare. I thought about making it a Hummer, but that just seemed over the top. ;)

See, I was going to do something like this complete with trading in the Prius but you beat me to it.

Also, boring exurbs are boring.

It was the SUV that tipped me over the top. Until then I was wavering between "no way" and "well, a house, I mean, I guess, okay..."

Hee. I sent the thingy via email to some non-lj having friends, and my friend R was about to stage an intervention--complete with studies regarding the likely future problems in Tracy's housing market. ;)

Which is good (in a way), because part of me is cringing at the thought of spending more money on less space. On the other hand, I do not want no full-on house-age in fairly ugly suburbia, and not having a 1.5 - 2 hour (each way, google is over-optimistic there) commute in traffic sounds like a reasonable trade-off for me. Yeah, and access to transit and tasty foods in walking distance is ok in my book. But a sizable number of folks at work do live out there and do this commute, every day. Blech.
