I soooo need to see the final scene. Merlin has always been a fandom I've paid attention to primarily for the fic because I've always found the fic more thoughtful and interesting than the actual show, but after seeing a few gifs on Tumblr, I wanna see how the whole thing officially played out.

And don't even get me started on Downton....

It's slashtastic. Arthur stroking Merlin's face saying there's something he's never told him before is a thing that actually happened. Arthur and Gwen never even saw each other face-to-face in this episode, I don't think (although Arthur sent something to her). Ahh, Merlin. Always willing to go the extra mile with the fanservice.

It's not a particularly happy ending though, be warned.

Oh, I know how it ended, I think. British TV apparently had some sort of pact to treat their Leonardo DiCaprio 90's hair characters the same way for Christmas. Heh.

And Gwen bored me to tears on the show, so I really don't know how the whole story with her and Arthur played out, only that she was all regal in the caps I've seen of her from the ep. I can't say I really care. LOL
