Channel 4 loves putting on these crazy countdowns of music, tonights feature being the top 100 albums of all time. I only caught the last 30 or so, but for a start there were only 3 Beatles Ablums, none of which were Abbey Road, only Led Zeppelin IV from those boys, The Queen is Dead by the Smiths, and Radiohead at least had best album with Ok ( Read more... )

So this week was my first week of classes at (the) LSE and so far things are going pretty well. I'm taking interesting courses, and each class is small with the professor teaching the seminar group directly (not some graduate student like at NYU or UofT) so you get a great sense of the material. thanks for all the nice birthday messages...made a girl feel really lived, even all the way across the pond.

So I register at LSE tommorrow, which basically means showing up with my passport and offer letter and get my id card, some info and then leave. All while waiting in line for a while. But it will be good, hopefully my major will decide to post my reading list soon, and I can get my loan check from the student services centre and start paying some ( Read more... )

Last night I had a great time going out with the rest of my friends in NYC before leaving town. Good times, nice closure. As much as it has been good to me, I'm done with New York. London here I come.

So, like the huge nerd that I am I got to go AGAIN to Harry, Carrie and Garp the author event at Radio City Music Hall, but this time the tickets were INCREDIBLE and I was literally 10 feet away from J.K.
