I'd have to say no as to say yes would be to oppose my own standpoint about 'bought girlfriends'

I'd much rather my guy *do* something thoughtful over *buying* something. Yes the two can sometimes be the same, but it shouldn't be all the time, nor expected by the woman to have things bought for her.

Yes, I've had a boyfriend who would buy me expensive things, I have been there. I treasured more the little time we spent together. I'm told such a mindset among women is rare....
