I watched a log on TV, what did you do?

In a recent conversation with stepleton, I was informed that the Yule Log Program is strictly a New York thing. I equate my Yule log memories with other memories of childhood like sesame street and square one. Both me and ri_cube have had good success at Lewis' in shadyside (right next to Walnut) with Anna. I think it cost about $20-$25 for a cut.

Oh that's the place that susancalvin recommended too. Also do you have any idea what the recommended tipping is for hair places? And do you have to tip the shampoer is that person is different than the person who cuts your hair?

Erm, personal preference I guess, for me if it's a $20-$25 cut and I like it, I'll tip about $5-$7. I read that you should tip everyone who touches you ($1-$2 if shampooer is different that hairdresser, etc) but I don't and I don't think that many people do (but I could be wrong). At Lewis' I've only ever dealt with one person when I go there, so no problem.
