WHO: Nise [amisadventure], Riku [walktodawn]
WHAT: Riku is gone exploring the jungle, and Nise goes to bring him back.
WHERE: The jungle.
WHEN: following this, early morning.

Damn it all, this was not as planned. Not that he really had anything planned, but he certainly didn't and hadn't expected for Riku to have any interest in exploring the jungle, and just what had piqued his interest in it may burn in hell. The jungle was not a safe place to be, and he should know. He had spent some five long months lost to the blood curse in it, and came back with his flesh littered with scars and memories that gave him nightmares. That woman Ivy resided there, watching over the plants, and while he had been given leeway as long as he didn't harm them, she was still a very dangerous woman. But that really wasn't his main concern; as he ran through the streets and headed for the jungle, following Riku's scent, Nise's mind reeled with thoughts of how Riku was making a huge mistake.

The early morning wind bit at his nose and ears as he ran as fast as he could, probably looking like he was going to kill someone with the expression he had as he ran past people, dodging to the side or jumping over crates as he made his way, trying to discern Riku's scent from everything else. It was a little hard to concentrate on it since he had long since lived with the other, so as he had become accustomed to it was something he didn't pay much attention to anymore. It was there, and he knew it was there, but his attention wasn't on it, kind of like of like wearing shoes, one isn't fully aware of them until someone else says "you're wearing shoes" and suddenly you can feel them and they're the focus of attention. That's what it was like for Nise and Real Thing's scent, he had to pluck it out apart from everyone else and hone in on it.

As he came closer into the jungle, his heart beat furiously against his chest and his stomach felt like a bowl of eels. All those months there and he was coming back to find Real Thing, much like in the way when the blood curse ended and everyone came back for him. He wouldn't give Riku up to the jungle, not to anyone or anything. If Riku was going to go the other would need his permission first, and so far Riku didn't have it.

Fifteen minutes passed and Real Thing's scent was becoming stronger with each yard. Beads of sweat rolled off Nise's temple and his arms were wet and dirty from the humid air and wet fauna. This was all bringing back memories - memories that for once, he didn't want, memories he didn't need and wanted to forget.

A while had passed and Nise had made it to the river, tired and sweating and dirty from going head-first into the jungle. Riku was nearby and he knew it; it was just a matter of pin pointing his exact location, which was fairly easy to do considering the smell of burning wood reached his nose. He followed that and soon emerged from behind some large plants, pushing aside their giant leaves and coming upon Riku's camp. His breath came heavy as his chest rose and fell, and after a moment Nise quickly walked over to the camp fire and began to furiously put it out.
