WHAT: The rescue party has finally arrived! But what will it take to free the captives and escape?
WHERE: The caves beneath the waterfall
WHEN: Day 27 (AKA the neverending day)
The door had probably been just another entrance to watch-- perhaps opening it even set off another trap. If it did, though, there was no way to tell, and, in any case, they didn't have time to waste. Moving swiftly and silently forward, Bruce led his team deeper into the bowels of the caves, and, soon, the dim illumination of torches and the sound of the waterfall, as well as the sight of bars told him that they'd arrived.
Tensing for a fight, weapons at the ready, he whirled into view to find... no guards. Just as the prisoners had said. Still wary-- they could attack from hidden places after all-- he approached the bars separating them from the prisoners. He could tell with a quick sweep that, for some reason, the bars lacked an easily located lock. Time was of the essence, otherwise he'd search. As it was, he whipped out the hand-held laser again, beginning his work on the bars.
"We're here to save you. Please move back from the bars. My team, see if you can spot any locks on the bars, though I've a feeling the aren't here.
"Larsa, test the potency of the potions and the blood. If either work, pass it to the boy with the brown hair to give to the girl with the gunshot to the head, the girl with the hurt ankle, and any who happen to have serious injuries.
"Zexion, examine the crystal, but don't touch it yet. It may be important."
A pause, as he saw his laser was having no effect. Already he had a bad feeling that these bars were more than they seemed, and that little they could do would remove them.
"Prisoners, get away from the bars. Gokudera, let's try dynamite. Single stick for now, just to see how much of a dent it makes in these bars."
