5:25 am is still dark around here! The camera can take photos at night.

Wow! I'm glad you saw it first via the motion detector - now you won't be totally startled if you do see it drop by. I wonder if Mya has ever seen it. Sometimes Fred sees wildlife in the wee hours of the morning and turns into a drama queen with his HOWLS. Then again, maybe he only howls at interloping house cats, because I've seen him coexist with raccoons and opossums.

Mya is not a very good guard cat. She runs and hides whenever people come around, and just looks out the window curiously at wildlife. She's not allowed outside because I suspected Mr. Bigpaws was out there somewhere. Mountain lions prefer deer, but will stoop to dogs and housecats if they are really hungry.
