Did you pass those impressed ones through a rolling mill? I'm curious!
Also, if any of these don't sell, ping me after the craft fair. I'm especially impressed with the shields with the freshwater pearls, and the ones with the dangly green "feathers". Lovely lovely stuff!
Nope--I taped steel gears to annealed metal using painter's tape and hit them with a hammer (one at a time--so the pendants each had the tape-and-hammer process happen to them five times). I'd love to have a rolling mill someday, but the steel seemed to do fine with this process. In fact, the amount that the painter's tape texture got crushed in the process was sort of an indicator of how well the design had transferred to the metal, which was really handy.
I'm thinking of putting up a "who wants first dibs?" post after the craft fair with a list of the things that didn't sell.
Thanks! A lot of these were relatively straightforward designs, and it made sense to make them in a batch--especially earrings, where if you're making 2 of something, it's not much of a stretch to make 6 or whatever.

(PS--the "green feathers" are real beetle wings!)
