Crab was $7/lb, so that was too good to pass on. All I need now is a few things that I want to wait to buy because they are perishable, and produce from the farmers market ( Read more... )

that sounds delicious. i have been planning to someday do a thanksgiving dinner someday, in absence of an actual thanksgiving. i am fascinated by the food itself.

do it! I don't think you need the excuse of a national holiday to eat a bunch of food and reflect on what you have to be thankful for. Then again, the only reason I could afford to make this spread is because all the fixings are on sale in anticipation of a national holiday. Normally I would not be able to afford a 15# turkey, but yesterday I got one for $5.

I don't use cranberries from the can! Make them fresh. I wish you could come have some cheerful cranberries with us! We are going to be eating leftovers for days!

hahaha no that is one of Chad's midwestern tics. we always have to have a can for him, if we go to someone else's house we have to make sure to bring a can.

i wish i could come there, too.
