There's a difference between cryptic and exhaustive. I do not feel the need to discuss moral relativism in general in a post for which that is not the point. And since what one breathes has no moral dimension at all that I can see, that seems a completely pointless example to use as an illustration.
If learning alternative coping mechanisms is as easy as you say, I'm sure you have no self-destructive habits yourself. Right?
I wrote this as a part of an ongoing struggle I'm having. Pop psychology has unfortunately not touched it. I address problems in my life by analyzing them and thinking them through, especially when action fails or backfires as it has here.
I'm sure your comments were well-meaning, even though not especially relevant.
