[riverdresses] finds that maybe very little, at least to her slightly cosseted eyes, is as lovely as her seven-mile candyfloss sky world is at post-rain . . . autumnal sunset. It's a night for hot tea, a viewing of Withnail & I, & writing. A double-looped scarf & jumper set for her mind. what makes up YOUR mind's double-looped scarf & jumper sets?

the smell of fireplaces and fir trees;
red leaves on the concrete;
a blue tinge to the world while windows glow gold;
hot tea and cocoa;
beloved movies;
and warm blankets.
I will come back for the rest when I'm not so tired ♥

Lit tealights, hot drinks, family and friends are all pretty much vital to getting through the 6 or-so months of darkness here up north. Norwegian winters are long, and the sun pretty much disappears for several months, with only a few sparse hours of cold daylight. Personally I love this time of year, because after braving the cold, I get to go home and cuddle up inside with blankets and coffee and a good movie.
My favorite purple/black striped scarf if a necessity these days, it's long and warm and comfy. :D Couldn't be without it!

My happiest moments are when I am with other people & everything is just...wonderful. We sit & we talk & we smile & even when there is silence, if I am perfectly content, at peace & comfortable...I am happy.
Autumn is my favourite season. Back home, the trees line both sides of the streets, tall & majestic & stunning Crayola colours of red & orange & yellow. When you look down the road, all you see are those trees, still full of their marvelous leaves & all you feel is the perfect fall temperature, crisp & brisk & carrying the scent of...indescribable Autumn in the North Country. Just sitting outside, in a sweater & boots, with a mug of warm apple cider....that is my ideal Autumn day.
