I just finished Devil in the White City, (yeah, shut up, I know, 5 years after the fact) which I acquired over the summer at my small town libary's 'fill a bag with discarded books for $1' sale.  It was really surprisingly good!  Naturally I am most interested in the part about the serial killer but I also enjoyed the parts with Frederick Law

I read that book and it took me forever because I didn't find it that interesting. But I did find it interesting enough to finish it! I thought the descriptions related to the World's Fair were kind of excruciating. I, of course, was also interested mainly for the serial killer part, which I found more enjoyable.

I'm currently reading another book in a series of lackluster ones I got from the lobby of my building. I need to read something really good next!
