Feelin' groovy

When did I turn into the type of nut who stays up late to watch an American Masters (on 13, naturally) on Pete Seeger and sings along because I have learned so many folk songs and contemplates buying CDs?  Oh, right, round about two years ago.

(we sing that song at my school too, since we just stole all of cpe's songs. i'm not sure, but i think i'm the only teacher who likes all-school sing.)

All-school sing was seriously my favorite part, bar none, of student teaching at CPE. It still gives me goosebumps when I think of it! Those kids didn't realize how awesome it was.

Yes. I still have that handout Josh gave us like 3 years ago with all the CPE songs on it and I nearly flipped out when I thought my co-teacher lost it. "Old John the Rabbit" was the universal favorite with the kids I had last year. Except that when I was at CPE 2 years ago they sang different songs which aren't even on the list and it makes me sad that I can't remember them. "Skating on the Volga?" Shit. I only remember like 1/4 of those lyrics.

I miss you! You should come visit again! We can have a cooking party!
