Summary: A night at Harvelle’s Roadhouse
Harvelle’s Roadhouse was humming..
Ellen Harvelle spoke, “Haven’t seen him since May.” He was heading to New Mexico.”
“Thanks Ellen. Maybe I’ll head out there.”
Jo Harvelle walked in carrying a box. “Where should I put it Mom?”
“What’s in there?”
“Your order.”
“Take it to the storeroom and fill the open shelves.”
“Sure.”
In the dark storeroom Jo flipped the light on. She unloaded the box. Soon the shelves were full of vegetables.
Jo headed back inside. “I’m done.“
Ellen looked at her. “Wash the dishes and then start dinner.”
“Sure Mom.”
Finished with the dishes, Jo finished the stew.. She placed the trays of biscuits and the pies on the counter. Ice cream was in the freezer. Just another night at the Roadhouse.
