So I am completely and totally screwed!
I just lost my job at Vermont Teddy Bear Company!  I have no idea what I'm going to do now.  I may just have to pack up all my things and find some where to stay until I can find a way to make money.  Yea for being homeless again.

shitty.

I'd offer, but I'm not in your area, and I'm leaving the state tomorrow for a week, to top it off :(

Best of luck, though. I know you'll get a new job!

However, if I can do anything to help, let me know?

Hang in there. I know it's tough, but you're a survivor. Pound the pavement and kick some ass.

Hi there...

You don't know me but I'm Beno's expectant Stepdad.

I totally empathize with your situation. I myself was told on the 23d of December last year that my place of employment (Four Star Delivery) was closing down and I was out of a job. This was on a night after I had gone to the mall and picked up Christmas gifts. It felt like I'd run head-in into a speeding freight train.

We had planned to buy something from vermont teddy bear but now--forget it. Neither Beno nor I will do business with them again and I plan on putting the word out my my LJ about it too. Likely too late to affect any plans anyone has for buying from them for Christmas but perhaps they'll get a little less business come Valentine's Day.

I'm very sorry that this has happened to you and I hope you find a place to live and a better job soon.

If you want I can still get you guys the teddy bear. It wasn't completely out of the blue so I'm not to pissed. I talked to one of my supervisors and she said I could come in and someone would give me their discount. I am seriously thinking about getting myself a teddy bear I have wanted for a while.

Ugh, that's so, so very wrong. I know I've seen hiring signs in various places around, though - how picky are you about where you're working? I just saw that Moe's on Williston Road, which the #1 UMall bus goes right past, is hiring, for example. I'm sure I can think of other places.

Also, why are you homeless? Are you just worried that you're not going to be able to make January rent, or do you seriously not have anywhere to live? It sounds like your siblings are very concerned about you, so I'm sure that they could help you with rent.

If on the other hand you need a place to crash, I have a guest room (but almost no storage space for your clothes and stuff). Or, if you're going to be couch surfing around random friends' apartments, I could take your rats for you.

This sucks...

Call me when you get this. I want details. In person. Over some sort of beverage. My treat.

Anything I can do to help, just say the word, and it's done. Well, save for pipebombing the fucking place... That's a little out of my realm of expertise...

the last part isn't that hard.

Just a little chemistry. (Says the ex-chem major...)

I gotta say that's a cool avatar. Had to get my fiance` to tell me what the thing in his hands was, though. Could have sworn it was a slinky.

I agree, I just found out earlier this afternoon when someone else that reads your journal told me. I left you a message at the house earlier though, so I figure I might as well leave you one here as well just in case you get online before you get home. Call me when you get this as well, we need to get together so you can vent to me in person about what happened. Maybe there's at least something I can do to help. If nothing else when I'm free I could give you a ride to places to drop off your resume so you don't have to take the bus. I got my first higher paying job through Manpower, if Donna still works there tell her I sent you. And that was $14/hr. without a college degree. Don't be afraid to apply for jobs that you think you might not be qualified for even if they sound like fun, you never know, you might just get them. Talk to you soon hun, I'll be up until at least 2am tonight taking care of my grandmother cause my dad had to go into the shop to get the x-mas orders done so feel free to call my cell. Don't forget to ( ... )
