Okay, give yourself a few minutes to brood about this. Then look at all the positive things about it. Brandon is about to get out of your ex's house. He isn't trying to get away from you. He has a real plan about what he wants to do with his life. Not many do and they just drift. He shared it with you because he hopes you will support him. When he makes it big, you can be his date to the Oscars. LOL!
Now think about what I'm about to go through. I will soon have a daughter-in-law and two step-grandkids. People I've never even spoke to are about to take over my life. Want to trade? *hugs you tightly*
She doesn't need a bra, yet but already asked me why she is getting boobs and the others in her class aren't.
I had a little refresher talk on periods with her. Just in case.
When I took her to school this morning, I had a look at P7, her class next year. The girls all looked incredibly stylish and grown up. I wouldn't have known how to accessorise to save my life in 7th grade but here they wear their school uniform like couture.
Tania asked me to buy her a gingham dress - she's still little. *nods* Yes she is.
I had a similar wish this year as we were out shopping for supplies and uniforms for my stepson. He is starting middle school. While he's not as close to being on his own as yours, it still stuck me that it seems like I was just meeting his little three-year-old self for the first time.
(I also got a bit teary when my son, who is five, came to show me his first loose tooth last week.)

Tani now borrows my socks when she 'can't find' any of hers. She's nine. Nine!
And as of tomorrow, in 6th grade. *wibbles*

*holds yours just as tight* Has she gotten into bras yet?
