Whoo! Its always kinda nice when a bit of "small world" factor helps you along the way.

And good luck on the continuing search for a permanant position.

Thanks!
It's amazing how often it seems to come into play, really. You know, one scoffs at the truism that it's all about "who you know," but it seems to happen a lot.

...What time is the planned dinner-with-yr-dad happening? And have you picked out a place yet? I'm going to have to think about how I'm getting there now! *excited*

I know. And there's always kind of a shiny feeling when it happens too. Like you did good somehow.

Next Friday, on the 7th of July. Um. I have no clue on time or place. Though I'm sure it'll be somewhere downtown. I'll email him and bother him about it. He wants to pick the place, so.

I'll email Meggie when I get the word. Though if you don't mind emailing me, so I could have your address, that'd be shiny too. I'll email you from my UW account, but my publicly used email is: zinjadu_2@hotmail.com

*nodnod* After getting turned down by the first three places I interviewed (and sending off plenty of other resumes that produced no response at all), it's a really nice change. ^^

Cool! Downtown is good. My new job is downtown -- on 3d Ave -- and it seems like the buses in the area are pretty easy to work with.
Also, that's the Friday right before my birthday (the 9th) so extra bonus yay for going out to a nice dinner.
...We're thinking about going to see the pirate landing at Alki Beach the next day -- I think Meggie's going to make a post about it at some point and see if people want to come along. Pirates!

Have just emailed you, so you'll have my address.

Thank you!
It really is just such a relief. And I don't think the job will be bad -- probably not the most exciting thing in the world, but something I'm good at, and something I don't mind doing. Thank goodness.

Congrats! That gives you a bit more leeway time on the search for something permanent :D

And that always means less stress. At least for now ;)
