if I had to reccomend one that you haven't read, I'd suggest American Gods. It's a quick and light read, but I've met people who either really liked it or can't stand it.

I also really liked 100 years of solitude, although you will end up using the family tree in the front to keep all the joses and aurlieanos straight.
