Poor Wilson! I do hope it is only temporary but it would make for interesting sequels - House with his cane and Wilson with his wheelchair.

The way Sam left on the show makes your Sam leaving completely believable. I got the feeling she was looking for the first excuse to come her way to flee.

“Now that she’s gone…” House began as he settled himself into his seat. “I want to hear your side of the story. You were being pursued by armed assassins on snowmobiles weren’t you?”

“Yes,” Wilson said, playing along. “Turns out the helicopter dropped me off at the wrong place. Before I knew it I was surrounded on all sides. I barely had time to pull my gun out of my jacket when I lost my balance and went flying.”

I love this. Just their kind of banter. :)

Thanks! In my mind, it is only temporary. I just wanted an open ending. But what a pair they’d make then, although I’d love it if Wilson had a cane then they could both sword fight through the corridors of the hospital.

Thanks for reading. :)

I really likes this, and I second barefootpuddles' suggestion that it would be a great first chapter in a longer story. Which doesn't mean it isn't perfect as it is, only it leaves you wanting more.

I really liked that House left Cuddy and that she not only has no hard feelings, but is even willing to help Wilson understand. This is the Cuddy I know and love.

Thanks.

I'd like to think that if Cuddy were in that situation that she wouldn't have any hard feelings but would be the strong-willed, supportive friend we've seen in previous seasons. I think she'd have the tact to give them a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Thanks for the comment! :)
