Thank you! I'm really glad I finally managed to finish it - I do feel better having got it all written down. Especially since it's getting such yummy feedback!

Oh... this is *beautiful*.

I wish I could be more coherent but it's a lovely story and bless you for finishing and sharing it.

I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of recc'ing it on my lj.

Thank you again!

Thank you, I'm really chuffed that you liked it - liked it enough to give it a lovely rec, indeed! You make me feel very happy. I really did think this would be a story pretty much everyone would just go 'huh?' at!

Following becky_monster's rec - this was wonderful. Perfect for both fandoms, which is an achievement given that they're at different ends of the spectrum in many ways.

You had me thinking for a bit that Ian was a sort of human Doctor, but I finally worked it out. I liked the last Jack/Ianto scenes, they rang very true.

Thank you! I love it when someone follows a rec to something I've done - I'm glad you enjoyed it! And it's really good to read that you felt I managed to fuse the two 'verses together: I did worry that, for anyone coming at it from Torchwood more than SJA, it might read as too soft or genteel. Not that I think SJA is perfect sweetness and light! But compared to Torchwood, you know, no-one dies horribly, there is generally love and trust ahead of fear and antagonism, and so on. I guess Jack and what he does at the end illustrate that there is quite a gulf between those two worlds, albeit one that can be bridged if both sides are willing.

Sorry, being rambly! Anyway, thank you again!
