Poem: Missing You

Jan 06, 2011 19:06

I miss you

you

Sit along the sides

Of my memories

Spill down my backbone

Spill truth into my life

Like a sigh

I wish I had never

Known you never been

Able to feel something

That would hurt me

This much I wish

I could hold you

I know that if I did

Everything

Over again

I would be able

This time to do it right

I would hold you

It would be perfect

You would never

Wish for better

We would never

Be without

Each other

would always

Be together

My heart is tattooed

Your name is the script

My heart is a tree

You are the roots that make me stick

I am indebted to you

For all that is good

That has ever been good

In the life I have loved

With you in it.
