Still More Paint

But outside of the stairwell, I think this almost the end of it.  I'll be cleaning up the chair rails and finishing the ledge paint, but that's half an hour's work at most.  Cleanup of the paint will take longer.  There's still the touch-up on the ceiling to do as well, but having climbed that ladder once today, I'm going to put off thinking about that for a few days.  It was more stressful than I expected it to be, so I'll be having more than a few words with the lizard brain before going up again.  It doesn't get to win this argument.

As before, the stairwell has the same things needing to be done, but I'm treating as a separate project now that the spare room has been reduced to things I theoretically can handle without assistance.  I say theoretically because moving the shelves and getting the books out of the stacked boxes may get interesting since I still have the max 5lb. lifting restriction. So here's the newest photos.  Before, which is just after I did primer:

And after:

Those are some seriously strong blues on that wall and I'm becoming very afraid that it's too much.  Having begun, I'll continue forward with the plan, adding the already determined art, decor, and drapery attempt but I'm really not sure about the whole design now.  Not the best time to be having second thoughts, really, with the end of the room project within reach.  I'll see how I feel about it when everything is where it's supposed to be.  Pictures and furniture will break the wall up so it shouldn't seem so overwhelming.  And again, it's paint.  I can always tear down the wallpaper and start from scratch if the whole thing ends up just being wrong.

But for now, onward and upward. (stupid ladder)

[1]  My arm feels quite a bit better, but it's still not healed and thanks to a PA who accused me of malingering two weeks ago I had a back-to-the-beginning setback after lifting my purse from the passenger seat of the car rather than dragging it over then lifting it.  Next time I listen to me when deciding on how fast and hard to push; I want to be done with this, but I don't want to break myself trying to get there faster.
