Unlike a number of my friends, working from home has never been an option for me. Today it was even less so, as I was scheduled to teach an American Heart Association class (first aid and CPR) for the DOC. This is mandatory training for everyone involved, and not really something I could call off doing unless I was utterly buried by snow.

In any case, I'm glad you made it home alright. It was pretty nasty on my side of town. We already had 6 inches by 8am when I was going into work. Little cars kept stalling on hills because of the ice and caused backups on the way home, but I didn't see any crashes or anything, just slow and waiting.

Due to several very lucky traveling decisions on my part, I managed to avoid almost all of the usual snow related issues on the way home. I did have to deal with ice and white-out conditions, but sidestepped almost all the traffic, for which I was extremely grateful.
