The ketubah arrived in CT today around 5:00 pm ET. My aunt has promised to take pictures of my cousin and her fiancee opening it. I expect to have an e-mail about how it goes tomorrow.
Of course I'm terribly worried that they'll hate it. I know, I know. You don't need to say it. Just understand that even after all this time I still get autocratitis, too, so this reaction is absolutely normal. Annoying, but normal.
After finishing packing things downstairs I moved to the relative order of my second floor and got 85% packed for the trip. I need to get a gallon zip lock baggie for the toiletries, pack down whatever hair things I want, and pack and repack the backpack that will serve as the personal item I get in addition to my single piece of carry-on luggage. I even remembered to pull out my travel alarm so I can use that to wake up at the ungodly hour of 4:30 without having to reset my alarm clock. Mom will be at the house by 5:15 to get me to the airport for my 7:31 liftoff. (I'm expecting it to take some time just to get her out of the disaster of my house, so I've planned for a 6:00 arrival at the airport. Since it's an early flight, this ought to be enough time to clear security and get to my gate without rushing. I hope, anyway.
Tomorrow morning I'll wash my hair so I don't have to even try to do it at sea-level in humidity and tomorrow night I'll go shop for travel food then finish the packing.
