We had a graduation party for Cory yesterday. It was an open house, so people showed up here and there, and slightly overlapped each other, but I think overall it turned out nicely.

First solteronita and rini showed up, and left shortly after two aunts, two uncles, two cousins and Grandma got here. My aunt and uncle and cousins all sat on the couch, and ( Read more... )

That sounds like a pretty good drop-in party....but too bad other things didn't fall into place for you! Odd that someone stayed in the car to sleep. Ha.

I checked out that couch - it's just tiny! A three-seater, but each butt is only 21 inches wide? Do yall have Craigslist? THat might be another option....

Yeah, I think a longer one would have been nice, but we have a small apartment and it's pretty close to our current one. Pus, for the price and the other design features, I think it'll work out pretty well even if we can't stretch out on it.

Thanks! I narrowed it down to three that I liked, and had Cory help me decide on the one we'd choose. They all had pros and cons. :)

I'm glad you could finally see the townhouse! Hopefully next time we see each other we can chat for longer - I was sad that you guys had to leave but I knew it would've been hard to chat with you AND fifteen people in my family. Heh.

I know Nicoal and I enjoyed our two hour visit with you and Cory! We knew you'd have a busy day, so really appreciated having you guys to ourselves for the first little while.
I hope work went well today!

I like the couch. It looks almost just like ours!

Yay! Do you have those low arms like that? I thought they'd be the easiest way for us to "graduate" from our mission-style couch that has the wooden arms that we always put stuff on - with these I could balance a tray on top if I had a mug of something.

Yeah, ours has low arms like that. I sit at the end with my legs curled under me and prop my laptop on the arm of the couch and on my leg. I also have a little end table that is the same height right at the end that I sit at, to put stuff on.

I think I need to find a little table like that, yeah. We'll see how well it fits where I want it to go, first, and how much room I'll have on either end...

You mean that wooden one? That one had nice table arms...

Renember the first Overstock commercial? I thought it was a parody at first because the lady was so fake.. and talking like a phone sex commercial person.

Yeah, I like the arms on this one; it's nice when I'm designing or crocheting 'cause I can have my hook case and calculator and pad of paper all along it. But I think this one will be like that; just not quite as hard so I'd have to be careful with dishes on it.

The current Overstock commercials are dumb too. The big red O.
