Yesterday evening we tailored the kennel to fit Linus' needs. I think it was just too spacious for him (it'll fit him when he's grown up too) so I took some of the cushions I salvaged from our old couch and then cut down to floor-pillow size and set them vertically against the back wall so that the livable area is half as big as it was. After about 6 months of our puppy (lab/collie mix) Jack... One of the cats(the boy) SOMETIMES barely tolerates him. He lets Jack snif at him occasionally, and he's the most comfortable about being in the same room as Jack. The other still hates him and hisses at him all the time. She's just starting to become okay with Jack in the room but still completely unimpressed. Also, the next door neighbor's dog completely ignores him as he was too excited the first few times she met Jack.

In short, we love Jack... but he doesn't have any animal buddies.

Good luck getting Trout and Linus to be buds. :)

Trout and Remmy were pretty close; I think that's one of the reasons we got Linus. I'm sure she'll warm up to him, but right now he's an unpredictable little guy and has upset her quiet routine. She did bat him yesterday, and she's hissed at him quite a bit, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

So how the heck are you? What's new?
