Breakfast: half a grapefruit. Snacks: some local trail mix, a (non-raw) Odwalla protein juice, and more dates Lunch: Leftover spinach dip, with cucumber and carrots and celery Dinner:
I'm impressed! We're going to do a week long "dietyish" too in the middle of February. It's just time too reign it all in. :) We miss you guys and would love to get together soon! We can email and check out schedules.
I think I missed the mention of why you're going raw for a week. Just to try it out? As a health detox? All of the above?
I've always wanted to look into raw food diets. My surface impression is that you're munching on carrot sticks all day, but I know that's just as ignorant as folks who think vegetarians only eat lettuce :)
Raw food can be seriously delicious! I've been trying out raw recipes, too, and I sometimes eat at a restaurant here that has raw dishes. They. are. good.
I even made some raw almond butter fudge the other night. No sugar. And it was so tasty!
I'm intrigued. Willing to share the recipe? My one attempt at regular fudge in December was a total disaster. I imagine this must be easier.
Also, side note... I made PB cups but used cupcake liners so they were GIANORMOUS. I can't find small paper liners anywhere, though. Is my best bet just to buy a cheap candy mold?
And, also -- rivulet, where are you getting your raw recipes? All online or is there a good cookbook?
I'm looking online at the moment; I may look for a cookbook sometime but it's cheaper for now to just go to blogs and such. I'll link some later when I'm at my computer!
