Have you told your friends about you feeling like a fifth wheel at times? I mean, they need to understand that it's not that you don't like them, but it's not a bd thing to have other friends.

Yeah they know. I'm always making comments about it. I think that they think that I'm joking though. Whatevs. It's just really getting out of hand now and I'm really starting to get pissed the fuck off. I don't understand why I can't have other friends and it's really depressing when it's always me and the other two couples. I just get depressed.

Be up front with them Steph. Say, "I know y'all think I'm joking about being the fifth wheel and all, but I really do. Sometimes I'd rather go out with other friends than be around two couples - which remind me that I'm still single. It has nothing to do with y'all and our friendship, it's just that I need a break from the 'I hate being single' feelings."

Hopefully they'll get it. If not, then they're not really friends of yours, are they? (Because true friends would listen to your objections and not give you a hard time about it...)
