periodic shoe post
Bertday is coming up, and my 2 daily gymshoes (black/white/grey onitsuka tigers & marz/brown/mint pony) are starting to reach full depreciation.
These are a lil pricier than what I like to spend on shoes but like I said, "bertday." I'm digging he mask on the logo but the colorway + pattern might be too much. I also like to stay away from mixing orange & black unless it's Halloween.
I haven't worn Nikes since I played jr. high basketball. I had black/purple/orange Flights...I think they were the Pippens that year. I was mostly into skater shoes in HS and then developed a social conscious in college. So yeah, no Nikes since 1995. Never was into Jordans and didn't feel the SB line either. I've always liked the Air Max though. They've got a classic silhouette and the designs can range from clean classic to lookin like they're made of various zubaz. Can't hate on the air bubble neither! I'm hoping these come with orange or grey laces. I'm a contrasting laces guy.
I've never wore Reeboks in my life. Wait...my family may have bought me a pair when I was little. I think I may have had a pair of Weeboks with dinosaurs on them in like 2nd grade. If they brought those back in adult sizes, oh man. I dunno if I could wear shoes with freakin Denver the Dinosaur on them now that I'm grown. Anyway, I like these cuz the colors stand out but it's not neon everything like alot of reeboks/addidases. I'm digging the texture/pattern on the maroon parts also. Hopefully these come with contrasting laces too...preferably in the matching shade of blue.

Voltron shoes that come with the corresponding lion...word. You gotta dig deep if you want any of these. They're at least $100 on ebay. Fortunately Reebok also released these:
Now if I had to choose I'd go with the limited edition set. Overall I like the models better plus it comes with the figures! However what I like about the 2nd set is that they all have the corresponding lion on the left side of the heel. Ideally I'd have the black, yellow, and green from the limited edition set, and the blue and red from the 2nd set. I ain't feelin the pink on blue ya know. If I had the blue and yellow, you damn right I'd leave the house with a blue lion pair on my right foot and a yellow lion pair on my left. So like I said "Bertday is coming up."
