The cider is now bottled, and shall be ready for consumption in about a week. Having left it to ferment for 3-4x it's usual time made it quite dry, and a bit more alcoholic than I was shooting for. Still good though ( Read more... )

I have an Orange Savings Account, great stuff, 2.35% interest at the moment, no minimum balance, totally kick ass. ^_^ Let me know if you want one, I can get you a reference that'll give you $25 welcome bonus, and give me $10 for refering you. :)

Hmm, 2.35% would be OK, for right now, but I'm looking for something higher. What bank would this savings account be at anyways? I am in the middle of Missouri you know. :-)

The Orange Savings account is through ING direct, they're web and phone access only. No actual branches, and they say they're saving us money by only having the web and phone to manage our accounts. You link the savings account up with a checking account through another bank, then have the money pulled from, or put into the checking account when you make a transaction in or out ( ... )

Sounds good to me. I'm looking long-term, so I wouldn't mind tying some of this up in a CD. I wasn't expecting the Orange Savings to be accessible, I was assuming it was a long-term investment thing, not like a money market account. Definitely something for me to look into. Thanks.
