Just the standard basic increase that I learned when I first started knitting. (I actually didn't realize there was more than one way, haha.) I'd describe it to you, but it's been a while since I've made anything and I'm not sure I could remember without actually getting some needles out. It wasn't anything special, though. :)

k2tog is a decrease it means knit two together
you are thinking of kfb meaning knit front and back which is an increase and the standard one not to make any holes.

You're welcome! :) I don't 'really' know how to write knitting patterns, so I just tried to explain it as simply and easy to follow-able as possible. I'm glad you like it!

I have spent the last 4 weeks knitting a Dr Who scarf for my father with no secret squirrel action whatsoever, so I may make this for Christmas to give him as a surprise to go with the Tom Baker scarf
