Yes, I did, and I must've listened to that record six times, since. Please keep this under your hat, for the time being. Don't let your mother know I got it. I'm only telling you because you asked me pointblank.
Don't sweat the toys, seriously. It would mean more to me--us, really--if you could swing a quick visit while you're stateside.
I would love to swing by, but unless you guys wouldn't mind me around for New Years, I can't swing it (gotta be back in Taipei earrrrrly - classes start the 3rd? 2nd? Something ridiculous like that).
At the very least, I will be dropping by for a visit at some point after my Taipei adventure comes to a close (er, assuming you guys still want to see me :P).
I'll go into the details shortly, but the quick and dirty version of it is a firm "No." It wasn't easy on me, emotionally, and I'm sure he'd much rather have flown up in the cabin with us, but we made it through with no real dog-related hassles. All I'd say to anyone in Taiwan looking to bring their dog or cats home would be to make sure you get the appropriate paperwork done before leaving. Everything else, at least for us, was easy. It sure as hell wasn't cheap, though.

I was just telling a friend last night about that last night at Ganbei Bar & Tony cheerfully filling your glass full of Jack all the way to the top.

Did your CD make it?? Mom sent it weeks ago (or was supposed to).
The box of toys is MIA, but I WILL find it when I go home in ~ 3 weeks.
