No, it's not football season. It's baseball season. Specifically, the NCAA playoffs. Georgia and Georgia Tech were drawn into the same four-team regional, which works on a double-elimination basis. Basically, you have to lose twice to be eliminated ( Read more... )

So what season is it that produces highs of 59 and thunderstorms? Because that's what we're having tomorrow.

What the hell happened to spring? Remember how it was snowing May 1? It was 90 today. I feel I have been conned out of an entire season.

Something that occurred to me tonight:

Frequently, we'll hear on the scanner that a particular person is "a probation client" and "restrained from alcohol and controlled substances," a common condition of probation.

But, um, isn't everyone restrained from controlled substances, at least the illegal ones?

By way of an update, yes, it did in fact snow today. 4/10ths of an inch, according to the weather service, though I didn't see any accumulating when I looked out the window. Still.
