1. Free stuff (shirts, hats, blankets, tickets).
2. I like the fact that I get updates on the team without scouring newspapers or the web - player personnel changes, upcoming games, especially updates on the upcoming opponent.
3. Unscheduled but timely emails are best. I'm more likely to ignore a weekly newsletter.
4. Just the ones I don't care about.

Are you currently a member of any fan loyalty programs?

Not that I'm aware of. I'm on the L A Kings' email update list because of buying one of their ticket plans, so that's the closest I come. And I do enjoy getting their fan update emails a couple of times per week.

1. Opportunities not available to the general public. I could have gotten Nuggets playoff tickets the day before they went on sale to the general public. I forgot to do it this year, but I did get tickets this way last year. U2's fan club always gets an early shot at tickets.

2. It's repetative. The Nuggets pimped their family packages all season. There also wasn't really any content in their emails.

3. Unscheduled and not too frequent.

4. No, I'm lazy.

I'm not sure the Nuggets thing I'm on is a fan loyalty program. I think I ordered tickets once through ticketmaster and they gave my info to the Nuggets and I never opted out. They actually called me to try to get me to buy season tickets for the Avs & Nuggets because ticketmaster told them I had bought X tickets during the season plus playoff tickets for both.

Had you ever shown interest in purchasing a family package. The goal is for email marketing to be properly targetted, so if they knew you were the head of a household with X # of kids, then you should end up in a segment that gets info on family packages. If not, the emails to you should be more about single game tickets.

Nope. Single with no kids, so they are missing the mark. They don't have any real info on me other than my email address.
