One thing better than watching football/soccer/calcio is watching Italians watch calcio

Very very true! I experienced Italia 90...the World Cup held in Italy! Oh what an exciting months it was! Of course the night after Italy lost out, it was pin-drop silence the following nights!!

We watched it on TV tonight. We live just down the street from the Chelsea stadium now so we'd been hoping they'd be in it. We rooted for Liverpool just to piss off Berlusconi.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I fell asleep during the over time. But it was quite a game!!

I regret not ever having gone to a live calcio match while I was there. Forza Viola!!

Of all that places I've lived when World Cup came around, Toronto is by far the most fun, because there's supporters of every team. Seeing wall to wall England flags is just not the same.

Unfortunately, living in a mainly Portuguese area close to Little Italy meant I didn't get a lot of sleep.
