This is nothing I've seen, but yesterday I spent some time trying to come up with some of the saddest scenarios possible, and the first thing I came up with before losing interest was "A guy who becomes really proficient in Capoeria to overcome his pronounced stutter, but it doesn't help and also he's only ever mediocre." I can get sadder.
