I remember all of this. Actually I don't, because I didn't start at Advance until winter '99, but the photogalleries for the special site were still online at that point.

I guarantee the content is still sitting on a dev server in Jersey City, and that the Mardi Gras cams are still responsible for the largest traffic spike of the year. (Don't people realize there are actual pornographies available on the web?)

To this day, I sometimes call the preview server at my current job the 'dev,' then have to correct myself.

Was Jarvis there in '99? Maybe he came later.

Jarvis was there long before '99 -- I think he was even the Newhouses' proxy in the New Century Networks debacle of the mid-'90s.
