I'm hoping to go to this in March! :)

Today, I helped move hay bails for 5 hours! Plan to do more of the same tomorrow, assuming I can move. It's pretty tough work. Need to pick up some sunglasses (you get a lot of hay in your eyes without them) and better gloves for tomorrow.

So, I've been thinking I want to start a new coding project while I'm here in NZ. As usual, the hardest part is thinking up something interesting and useful. I'd love to do something with a GIS/distributed computing. Or I might start trying to contribute to an existing open source project..

Any suggestions? What are you guys working on? :-)

My uncle has a set of 700x45c semi-knobby tires in his back room that he's not using! For those who don't know, those are some fairly wide road tyres. I want to do some off roading with them ( Read more... )

So I'm now in Maungakaramea now. My uncle's house is really interesting! It's quite chilly here compared to Queensland.

Looking into new camera's, I've been eying the canon S3 IS. However, I've also been eying the other canon compact camera's, been having a hard time deciding which to get. Cost, size, quality and features are hard to balance ( Read more... )

So I'm in Yandina now. Hanging out with my cousin Maya and her family. They live about 20 km away from the coast. Finally got out swimming in the ocean three times!
