I'm departing from Hobart tonight, taking a plane up to Brisbane. Hobart has been fun, there are so many things I didn't get to see and do down here! Will have to come back again some day. From St Helens, I've road down the West coast of Tasmania, and am currently in Swansea (Seaswan?) Along the way I rode to St. Mary, up St. Mary's Pass. Really nice town, very artsy. Then down the Elephant pass, which was quite crazy. It was so high, my ears popped at the bottom ( Read more... )

So, the cycling has taken a turn for the better here in Tasmania. The drivers are quite good now, and the scenary is amazing! Been slow going, the hills are quite crazy. From Lauceston I rode to Lilydale, staying at the Lilydale falls campsite over night. Saw 3 wallabies! Biked to Scottsdale with the intention of riding further, but ended up ( Read more... )

Tasmania has been beautiful so far. The hills are amazing, and not too bad (although I'm definitely feeling it today.) Biked from Devonport to Launceton yesterday. Does anyone know how to send text messages to a mobile phone via the internet? I'd love for people (esp Heather!) to be able to send me text messages via the net.

Also, does anyone know good ways to send money overseas? I need to send some cash home..
