thinking on how it says that about aoishi's fallen comrades i was wondering if it would be during the war because they weren't killed by kanryuu in the movie so i guess we'll have to wait and see

You're right, that would make sense... They did take some liberties in the first movie, I guess we can't expect a literal, image-per-image adaptation of the Kyoto arc. But they know they have to be careful. Wait and see!

Hiko, Aoshi, AAAAND Sojiro! *squeeeeee* OMGOMGOMGOMG!! The casting for this movie seems to be getting better!! They were awesome with casting for the first movie (I didn't see Takeru act before then, but he totally got Kenshin's personality perfect, and now I'm in love with him), and now Tatsuya Fujiwara! I love him! I loved him in the Death Note movies and Battle Royale! *double squeeeeee* I can't believe he's gonna play Shishio! I'm trying to picture him playing that twisted of a character (even though Light was a little twisted)... I think he'll do amazing.

I don't think Hiko has been confirmed yet (but he HAS to be in it. HAS to. Misao too, of course! It wouldn't be the same without her!), but yes, Aoshi at last and Sojiro too! :D

Were the Death Note movies good? Playing Light should be good training for playing Shishio - they're both completely sick. XD

But in this timeline, why is Aoshi pursuing Kenshin? There were no four Oniwabanshuu who died in Kanryuu's mansion, unless they decide to have had this occur before the events of the first movie.
