Fantasy over Robert Pattinson

Okay, I'm sitting here in my living room, watching (enduring) the movie "Twilight" with my twelve year old daughter. Yes, I want a freaking medal for this. But I had to share my Robert Pattinson fantasy. See, I really enjoyed "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and I was certain that Pattinson would be going somewhere in his career. ( Read more... )

I've been able to avoid the film and the fourth book ... I suspect I managed to have my very own vaccinations (I have two teen-aged sons who are not, in any way, interested in these films,) to ward of interest.

However, I couldn't agree with you more about Pattinson. He's very young for so much (fame, wealth, attention), and without a grounding influence, I could very easily see him losing his head (and let's hope not his life).

It's quite nice to see you, by the way.

Totally in agreement. And by the way, whatever became of the young actor who played the 16-year-old Voldemort? There's another one who ought to be quite famous, and (perhaps) too young to handle it, as well. I thought Pattinson (help me get this straight--he played Cedric, correct? I am SO hopeless re actors--I remember the identifies of very few, so those few I do remember--Clark Gable, Alan Rickman, etc.--had to have made a HUGE impression to implant in my memory) was 'cute'--but the young man who played teen-age Voldemort was--well, if I'd been a teenager again I'd have been utterly smitten. And yes, the fame is too much, without grounding--for the boys, OR the girls (witness Brittney Spears).
